Let Him Cook

Ever noticed how super successful business owners are either VERY smart...

...or total morons?

It's like that bell curve meme with the genius on one end and the caveman on the other. Successful people live on the extremes. Never in the middle.

Been talking to another agency owner who’s running ads for a client that's doing extremely well. Managed to take him from 5 figures a month to 6 figures. That's a big difference.

They talk every two weeks or so. He tells his client, “We're doing very well” They agree on running more ads and increasing ad budget (because it's very profitable), and they each go back to work.

Most successful clients are like that. Low on the details and very easy to work with because they let you cook.

Probably has a lot to do with why they're successful.

The advertising legend, David Ogilvy, used to say:

"Don't hire a dog and then bark yourself"

These days, kids all say: "Let him cook". I guess that's the modern equivalent of that saying.

If you're running ads, let them play out before drawing conclusions.

Doing outreach? Give it some time. Let it breathe. Develop. See where it goes first.

Life is much easier on the extremities of the bell curve. And it’s only extremely hard in the middle of the bell curve.

So get out of there. Trust the process and just keep blasting.

Talk soon,

Sam Terrett
